Moving the Freight highlights the hard-working side of railroading — long freight trains hauling everything from lumber and automobiles to produce and heavy machinery. During this Open House, visitors will see how railroads keep industries supplied and communities connected, with realistic switching moves, yard operations, and mainline runs. It’s a great look at the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the economy rolling — one car at a time.

Theme: “Members’ Best” - Saturday, January 17 — 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Members’ Best is our chance to showcase the finest equipment our members have to offer — from beautifully detailed locomotives and freight consists to carefully crafted passenger trains and unique specialty models. Each member brings the pieces they’re most proud of, creating a one-of-a-kind display that highlights skill, creativity, and years of collecting and modeling. Visitors will enjoy seeing an impressive variety of trains running and on display — all chosen as the “best of the best” by the people who built and love them.
